Beer Battered Fish Tacos



These light in texture but bold and intense in flavor are a match made in heaven! Make your next Taco Tuesday a hit with these!


Beer Battered Fish Taco

1lb Cod filets

1 ½ cup AP Flour

1 tsp Cayenne

2 tsp Salt

1 tsp pepper

1 tsp Chili Powder

½ tsp Garlic Powder

½ tsp Onion Powder

¼ tsp Coriander powder

¼ tsp Cumin

1 tsp Baking Powder

12 floz Mexican Beer or Seltzer Water

22 fl oz Frying Oil

Flour or Corn Tortillas

*Roasted Jalapeno Slaw

*Tomato Corn Relish

*Smoky Chipotle Crème

1) Preheat frying oil to 350 degrees.

2) Cut Cod filets into strips.

3) Combine flour, spices, and beer to make the batter.

4) Coat the fish filets in the batter and fry until golden brown and crispy.

5) Place in tortillas and top with slaw, relish and crème, Serve!




Roasted Jalapeno Slaw

2 Jalapenos

¼ cup Cilantro

½ Lime, juiced

¼ onion

2 green onions

2 garlic cloves

¼ cup Sour Cream

½ cup Mayonnaise

2 oz Pickled Jalapeno Juice

¼ tsp Cumin

¼ tsp Salt

¼ tsp Pepper

¼ Avocado, optional

12 oz Cole Slaw mix or 1 head of cabbage shredded

1) Roast Jalapenos in the 350 degree oven for 18-20 minutes or until soft.

2) Place all ingredients (except slaw mix) in a blender and blend until smooth.

3) Coat the slaw mix (or cabbage) with the Roasted jalapeno sauce. Place in the refrigerator to cool before service.

Tomato Corn Relish

1 Roma Tomato, Small Dice

½ Onion, small dice

1 ear of Corn, roasted, kernels removed

½ jalapeno, minced

1/3 cup Cilantro, minced

½ lime, juiced

½ tsp salt

¼ tsp Pepper

¼ tsp chili powder

Combine ingredients and adjust seasonings.

Smoky Chipotle Crème

½ cup Sour Cream or Mexican Crema

¼ cup Mayonnaise

1 whole Chipotle pepper in Adobo Sauce

½ lime, juiced

1 green onion, minced

Combine all ingredient and taste for seasoning.
